First Vows 2007  After completing their two year Novitiate, Sr. Gianna Marie and Sr. Mary Michael were admited to first profession of vows. Profession of the vows of obedience, poverty and chastity took place during Holy Mass on August 10—the day before the Feast of St. Clare.

"The Church itself, by the authority given to it by God, accepts the vows of the newly professed. It begs aid and grace from God by its public prayer. It commends them to God, imparts a spiritual blessing on them and accompanies their self-offering by the Eucharistic sacrifice." Lumen Gentium 45

“I vow to God to live for three years in obedience, poverty and chastity, according to the Rule of the Third order Regular of St Francis given by Pope John Paul II... ” Benind and to the left is Fr John Delaney who was Sister's parish priest when she entered 3 years ago.

Our newly professed junior sisters show their joy at being claimed by Christ as His bride.  May the Blessed and Immaculate Virgin Mary, our Holy Father Francis, St. Clare, St. Elizabeth and all the saints obtain for them the graces they need to fulfill their consecration in the service of God and the Church.
