Postulant Entrance 2007 On September 9th, our candidates Jenny Collison, Rosa Beyer arrived along with their families. On this day they became postulants in our community.
Incline my heart according to your will, O God. —Speed my steps along your path.
After dressing in their new garb, the newly arrived postulants pray Mid-afternoon prayer with the community. This is followed by a short ceremony of Entrance. Here, our Provincial Superior, Sister M. Angela, presents Jenny with a book containing the Official Prayers of Adoration. They respond with a prayer of St. Francis:
We adore you, Lord Jesus Christ here in and in all your church throughout the world... |
After receiving the Tau Cross as an exterior sign of their commitment and on-going conversion to follow Christ in the footsteps of St. Francis, Jenny (left) and Rosa (right) respond with another prayer of St. Francis:
Most high, glorious God, enlighten the darkness of my heart. Give me right faith, firm hope and perfect charity. Fill me with understanding and knowledge that I may fulfill your command. |
You have given them bread from heaven. —Having all sweetness within it..
Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Our newly invested postulants spend a few precious moments being welcomed by our Spouse into His heart. |
