Christmas   A child is born for us, a son is given to us. (Is 9:5)
He calls each one of us, so that we too can say: "Come on, ‘let us go over’ to Bethlehem—to the God who has come to meet us." –Pope Benedict XVI, Homily, Midnight Mass.

Sr M Benedicta cradles an infant pilgrim - in each child we see the humility of our Infant King.
Midnight Mass: Sr M Cecelia Clare, youngest novice, carries the Babe to the manger.

Sr M James and Sr M Clare set up the creche scene.
Provincialate Christmas Tree

Father Francis, OFM blesses the Creche.
Combined choir of friars and sisters raise their voices in honor of the Infant King.

On the fourth day of Christmas, the junior Sisters went caroling to the Chancery in Ft Wayne.  Bishop Rhoades, Bishop D'Arcy and Msgr. Schulte just happened to be in!  The Sisters also caroled at the Archbishop Noll Center, and Saint Ann's Home.
Sr M Anna Joseph on the viola, Sr M Lissetta on the piano, and Sr Mary Michael on the violin provided music for our celebration on the Feast of the Holy Family.

On the second day of Christmas we had a dinner to honor Kevin Leahy and his family. Kevin has given selfless service to the Sisters of Saint Francis Hospital System for 30 years and his family has also been very gracious. Here the family is surrounded by sisters who have worked with him over the years.

Gathered for Las Posadas

Ready to respond as the pilgrims ask for entrance.
Praying the rosary together in the main chapel.

The Conventual Francisan Novitiate gave us three not-so-little gifts on the feast of St Nicholas. Sr Maria Gemma, Sr M Dorothy, Fr Robert, OFM Conv (the friar's novice director), and Friar Jeff get ready to open the presents.

A new shepherd for the creche scene in our Provincilate as well as an ox and a donkey to warm the manger where Jesus lay.
The novitiate and young sisters giving a last cleaning to the stairs in the provincialate to make all ready for the King.

A combined franciscan choir—the friars join us as we caroled at St Anthony Home.
