The black veil is an outward sign of Sister's consecration. "Receive this veil, which proclaims that you belong entirely to Christ the Lord and are dedicated to the service of the Church." |
The Church itself...begs aid and grace from God for the newly professed by its public prayer. It commends them to God, imparts a spiritual blessing on them and accompanies their self-offering by the Eucharistic sacrifice. (c.f. Lumen Gentium) |

A reception followed and was enjoyed by these young ladies with Sr M Lois. Alexa (on left, leaning forward) and Jessica (white shirt on right) are presently candidates to our community and will enter in September as postulants., |
