Our Life of Prayer

We strive to direct ourselves completely toward Christ, so that we do not live for self, but rather love and serve Him in others.

"Through our active participation in the Eucharistic celebration, we meet the Lord in Word and Sacrament. The Eucharistic Sacrifice is the center of our life; it strengthens and deepens our unity and forms us into a community renewed by Christ."
(Our Form of Life)

"We foster in a special way the continuous adoration of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament as a sign of our surrender, in thanksgiving, in atonement for sin, and in intercession for the needs of the Church, for our congregation and for the world."
(Our Form of Life)

"The Liturgy of the Hours is our foremost prayer. We realize that we are religious in the same measure that we are women of prayer, as Mother M. Theresia reminds us: 'As we pray so will we live, and our lives will be like our prayers.'"
(Our Form of Life)

"Like St. Francis we venerate Mary, the Mother of our Lord, as our Lady and Queen, place ourselves under her protection, and follow her example. In the recitation of the rosary we meditate on the chief mysteries of our faith."
(Our Form of Life)

"The Franciscan devotion to the Way of the Cross is of special importance to us for in it we meditate upon the entire life of our Lord, especially its climax, His death and resurrection, in order to gain strength for the difficulties of our own life."
(Our Form of Life)

Reading and meditating on the Word of God assume a prominent place in our lives. "Through prayer and contemplation we are united ever more intimately with God, and through God's grace even the most difficult tasks in His service become easy and pleasing for us."
(Mother M. Theresia)

"Sisters through age or illness share in the good works of the community in a significant way through prayer and suffering and obtain God's blessing for many."
(Our Form of Life).
